Management

Triin Kõrgmaa has been the Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture since 19 February 2026. She started working at the ministry on 5 June 2025, as Deputy Secretary General for Food Safety. From 2016 to 2024, Triin worked at Salvest AS, including as the company's CEO from 2018. She has also worked as a category manager and marketing manager at HK Scan Estonia AS and as a marketing and product development assistant, as well as product group and brand manager, at Valio Eesti AS.

Triin studied business administration at Aarhus University School of Business and Social Sciences, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2009, and also studied the same subject at the master's level at Estonian Business School. Triin speaks Estonian, English and Finnish.

Madis Pärtel has been the Deputy Secretary General for Bioeconomy since 1 January 2024. He manages the work of the Fisheries Policy Department, the Agri-Environmental Policy Department and the Agricultural Policy Department.

Sigrid Soomlais has been the Deputy Secretary General for Regional Development since 11 March 2024. She manages the work of the Local Governments Department, the Regional Policy Department and the Public Transport Department.

Tõnis Tänav has served as the Deputy Secretary General for Innovation and Strategy since 1 January 2024. He manages the work of the Strategy and Finance Department, the Research and Development Department and the International Co-operation Department.
